Life belongs
at work, too.
SaVie supports businesses interested in operating differently—creating workplaces where people can thrive because of their environment, not in spite of it.

The Passion Behind The Work
The name SaVie originates from the word ‘savvy’ and the French word for ‘life’ (‘vie’), representing the intention to be cognizant of how we live our lives.
Read the passion behind the work
Life is oftentimes something that people think of as happening outside of work. We laugh, play, socialize, exercise, eat, sleep, and tend to ourselves each day but typically only once we’re home from our paid hours. At work, there is a general expectation to produce outcomes without considering anything else. There are countless hours of each person’s time dedicated to engaging in their chosen profession, which has the potential to be highly rewarding, but typically ignores the humanistic aspects of our day-to-day. Life happens outside of work. But should it only be that way?
SaVie views things differently. We believe that living intentionally and meaningfully should happen in all settings, not just private ones. We aspire to help create working environments where employees are treated as human beings, where individuals thrive because of their workplace, not in spite of it.
SaVie aims to help businesses create a workplace that is engaging, fulfilling, productive, health promoting, and welcoming. Our values include authenticity, connection, human-centered perspectives, and a relentless pursuit of enjoying day-to-day life.
The Organizational Perspective
Organizations are made up of human beings, so investing in their well-being goes hand in hand with investing in the organization’s outcomes.
Explore the organizational perspective
The Western world is diving deeper and deeper into a work culture that is counterproductive to human health and productivity. SaVie Consulting provides support to businesses that are interested in operating differently. Organizations are made up of human beings, so investing in their well-being goes hand in hand with investing in the organization's outcomes.
Employees become free to reach their full potential when they are truly supported. This happens when employees can care for themselves properly during working hours, when health-promoting activities are integrated into work, and when there is a strong work culture where enjoyment, belonging, and meaning are the norm.
Long-term outcomes of investing in organizational health and culture include happier and healthier employees, leading to reduced employee leave, improved recruitment and retention, higher quality of work and engagement from employees, increased productivity, and a stronger, more resilient organization overall. Leaders that prioritize health promotion and strong culture within their organization can expect to not only benefit personally from the working environment, but to see substantially greater achievement from each employee and from the business as a whole.
SaVie offers a range of consulting services and products to help small- and medium-sized businesses in their endeavor to establish a strong and supportive workplace. Clients can choose from self-administered guides and tools to support their own internal health and culture activities, or they can utilize consulting services for one-on-one individualized support through discussion that suit their needs or through fulsome evaluation and strategic planning processes.

The Personal Side
As a passionate advocate of living a full life, I have always questioned why work is such an overlooked area for improvement. We often write off the impact of the work environment and the substantial amount of time spent there as a given in our lives while simultaneously accepting that the burden of caring for ourselves is something we do outside of work.
Both within my own life and in those around me, I have seen a tendency for us to expend the majority of our energy at work and then go home to scrape together our leftover capacity to do our best at exercising, eating well, sleeping fully, connecting with our loved ones, completing general life tasks, and finding whatever joy we can; but it always seems so burdensome to try to fit all of that into our off-hours while also trying to recover from our on-hours. It has never seemed quite right to me. I’ve always wondered why life takes the back seat to work rather than being integrated with it, why trying to thrive as a human being requires pushing through health promoting activities during ‘off-hours’ rather than being able to support ourselves properly during all hours.
Don’t get me wrong, I love work and achieving meaningful things as much as anyone, but I believe our highest productivity and work quality comes out when we are supported as human beings first, rather than producers.
I created SaVie as a way to contribute to a shift in the way we work, the way we live, and in the way organizations impact each of their employees’ lives. My dreams for SaVie are grand and I hope to influence the greater mindset on work culture and working environments, but if only one organization or even one employee feels like they can breathe easier because work and life feel seamless and supportive of their ability to thrive, then it will be considered a success.
Alongside investing in SaVie and my clients, you can find me enjoying my days with my brilliant and vibrant miniature Australian Shepherd, Kinley, reading every fantasy book I can get my hands on, and striving for my next personal best in the gym. In the summertime, I love paddleboarding, golfing, playing pickleball, and being out in nature as much as possible. In the winter, you likely won’t find me at all because I am hiding from the cold inside, but I am still enjoying my days with board game nights, watching hockey or football, or soaking in a warm bath.
I am a big-hearted person who finds great reward in connecting with people on a deeper level, supporting others in their endeavors, and being part of strong communities. Please always feel free to reach out to me for a connection of our own!
The Professional Side
My earlier career started out in psychological work. I obtained my Honours Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Calgary and went on to work in research, psychological assessments, clinical work, and health care management for many years. As I progressed through that journey, I realized that my skillset and interests were more aligned with a systems approach and strategic planning. I also became increasingly passionate about work culture and its effect on human health and happiness. From there, I decided to pursue my Master of Public Health, specializing in health promotion, which I obtained from the University of Alberta.
The goal in completing my master’s degree was always to apply it to the business world as I believe that population health is greatly impacted by work, and organizations hold the primary role in determining whether that impact is positive or negative. I believe that organizational leaders are experts in their respective fields and in running their own businesses, so I chose to become an expert in how to integrate humanistic factors back into those settings to work alongside leaders in their pursuit of progress.
I am well versed in strategic planning, leadership consulting, collaborating with diverse stakeholders, program development, health promotional work, and managing complex projects. I have developed and led initiatives for optimizing employee health, engagement, and success through comprehensive evaluation and goal-oriented, data-driven planning. I have demonstrated ability in advancing employee well-being while maintaining alignment with an organization’s priorities, applying measurement outcomes, advising leadership, and guiding improvement activities.
Flexibility, creativity, and adaptability are common practices of mine to ensure I meet the needs of those involved. I take a humanistic approach to my work as I believe the outcomes of a team are only as strong as the individuals who comprise it. My education in health promotion underlies my ability to critically analyze all perspectives of a population, system, or organization to establish methods for improvement that can be realized on both an individual and an operational level.
Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, I consider myself to be an attentive, compassionate, and open-minded individual who invests greatly in each client, and I very much look forward to connecting with you!
